Castagnando

The Castagnata is now one of the symbol events organized by the Pro Loco Villa Rosa. For an afternoon L. da Vinci square dresses in an autumnal atmosphere, but warm and welcoming that reflects the typicality and colors of the autumn of Abruzzo. You can enjoy a carefree Sunday surrounded by chestnuts and wine offered by us as well as sausage sandwiches. The festival was born in 2001 and comes this year to its eighteenth edition which, after several years, returns to the streets and outdoors as per tradition in the hope of restoring it to the typical and comforting atmosphere that has always characterized it. Castagnando is the pretext, if not the good reason, to re-evaluate a season like the autumn that in a coastal town is often associated with the end of the summer season and activities in general, often forgetting its beauty and importance.

SAN MARTINO competition

Of particular importance is also the drawing competition for the primary and secondary schools of Villa Rosa and Martinsicuro (Istituto comprensivo Sandro Pertini) which offers children and young people the possibility of reflecting on particular topics of common civic interest without, however, pushing them into a training course heavy and unsuitable for their age, but through a lighter and more amusing tool such as drawing. All children are assigned a unique theme on which, during school hours, they will have to reason and reflect, then transforming their thoughts into a drawing. This becomes not only an opportunity for reflection for the little ones, but also for the older ones who can, in the drawings, understand how boys and children develop their thoughts on issues that too often we are used to seeing only with the eyes of a adult The awarding of the winning children will take place on November 17, 2019, in conjunction with the chestnut festival in Square L. Da Vinci, where all the winning and non-winning drawings made by the children will be exhibited. For more information we enclose the Years's Theme
